On Thursday, this workshop is INTERMEDIATE, is open to improvisers with previous musical improv experience & at least 2 years of improv experience. It
ends in a showcase performance on Thursday 27th June.

On Saturday, the workshop is open to musical improvisers of ALL LEVELS.

From spontaneous slick choreography to dynamic staging and callback motifs, this full-day workshop offers an exciting introduction to improvisational musical theatre. Whether you're an experienced performer or new to the stage, this workshop provides a welcoming space to explore your creativity.

Participants will engage in exercises to boost confidence and develop improvisational skills. No dance experience is required, but a willingness to learn and have fun is essential. Unleash your inner performer and dive into the world of musical theatre improv. Get strong, get creative, get physical in musical theatre improv.

Ali James is movement director for Showstopper, Mischief Theatre’s Magic Goes Wrong and previously the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

In 2020 she directed PS I’m A Terrible Person - a new British musical by Forristal & Clarke.
