Txus Eguílaz is a multidisciplinary, tenacious and curious artist who combines music, dance and theatre. After completing higher studies in Percussion and Percussion Pedagogy, he expanded his artistic training with tap dancing and theatre performance and specialised in body percussion. He collaborates with many artists and musical groups, such as the singer-songwriter Joaquín Taboada, the brass band Artistas del Gremio, the music band La Pamplonesa or the Navarra Symphony Orchestra, and participates in educational concerts by the Government of Navarra and the companies Pasadas las 4 and cantArte (b vocal). His flagship musical-theatrical creation is perFusión, a street animation group that he directed for 10 years, for which he has written numerous compositions, as well as over 600 performances. He is a dancer in the Irish dance company Nuala, the tap and percussion company Trakatap, the tap and percussion company ExhiBeat!, the marchng band Fly FishFive, the fusion music group New Contours and performs in the show for percussion and band Con R de Ritmo, and many more. Passionate about rhythm and pedagogy, he has been teaching classes and specialized workshops in schools and conservatories for more than 25 years and is part of the Professional Training Program for Tap Dancers of the Escola Luthier de Barcelona.
