This workshop is open to musical improvisers of ALL LEVELS.


Mix it up! Learn dynamic new ways to stage your shows! In this full day open level workshop, we’ll explore telling stories inspired by movement, get to the heart of the scene by becoming hyper aware of each others physicality and make your performance look and feel as fresh as it is, every time.

Join us for an immersive journey into the world of theatrical innovation! Throughout the day, participants will engage in hands-on activities designed to deepen their understanding of dynamic staging techniques. This workshop offers a supportive environment where you can expand your repertoire and infuse your performances with newfound energy and creativity.

Ali James is movement director for Showstopper, Mischief Theatre’s Magic Goes Wrong and previously the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

In 2020 she directed PS I’m A Terrible Person - a new British musical by Forristal & Clarke.
